Application requirements
Qualified degree-seeking students at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (UFR) who will spend a part of their studies at a partner university abroad can apply for the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. Persons cannot apply for the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM if
- they are students going on an exchange via the ERASMUS+-programme
- they are students going on an exchange via a double/joint degree program partnership, or via a partnership in a degree program that includes a separate degree abroad
- they are doctoral candidates
- they are free movers
- and if they are students studying in the ERASMUS+ region and Switzerland.
The scholarship is only available to exchange students. This means UFR students who are studying abroad at a partner university for one or two semesters as exchange students, who have either received a nomination for a university-wide exchange program from the International Office (Global Exchange) or who have received a nomination for a faculty/departmental exchange program from their faculty, are eligible to apply.
In the selection process, great value is set upon excellent grades (above average in your area of studies), outstanding extracurricular commitment and a very good command of the language of instruction abroad.
