Welcome Days for newly matriculated international students

The conditions of study at the University of Freiburg will be entirely new for you. In addition, you will be studying in an unfamiliar environment. In order to prepare you for your studies and your life in Freiburg, the International Office organizes an introduction day with a lot of information from different areas of student life in Freiburg.

If you are unable to attend on that day or you would like to review the information, you can find informational presentations here on the website. We strongly recommend that you attend the Welcome Day or alternatively peruse all the presentations. We are sure that the many different items on the agenda will contribute positively to your study success and make it easier for you to settle in Freiburg.

The Welcome Day for the winter semester is split into two parts: the informational presentations and the in-person Welcome Event. The respective information to register for the event has already been shared via mobility. The latter is comprised of a reception on October 9th starting at 5:00 PM with information booths and the Welcome Dinner in Mensa Rempartstraße in Freiburg. This will give you the opportunity to make new friends if you are already in Freiburg and still receive important information about studying in Freiburg if you are not there yet. Both events will provide a helpful introduction to life in Freiburg and studying at the university.

You will receive an invitation to the Welcome Event via Mobility Online if you are an exchange student, otherwise you can use the myUFR App from the Service Center Studium to register for the Welcome Event.
